My two types of NYU pal
Pal 1: “Hey we’re going to such and such bar tonight, you wanna come?”
Me: “Nah, I can’t, I have no money.”
Pal 1: “You sure? It’s like $4 drinks..”
Me: “NO. MONEY.”
Pal 1: (looks at me as if I’m speaking Farsi)
Pal 2: “Hey we’re going to such and such bar tonight, you wanna come?”
Me: “Nah, I can’t, I have no money.”
Pal 2: “Ah bummer. Next time then.”
Me: “I get paid Saturday. We should do something then.”
BELIEVE IT OR NOT, NYU kids of the Pal 1 type, there are people here who when they say “I have no money” literally mean: I. HAVE. NO. MONEY. Yes, there are some of us who are not floating in a pool of expendable funds. Please stop acting like you don’t understand that there are people out there who are not exactly like you.
